Tas is a suite of software products, which simulate the dynamic thermal
performance of buildings and their systems. The main module is Tas
Building Designer, which performs dynamic building simulation with
integrated natural and forced airflow. It has 3D graphics based geometry
input that includes a CAD link. Tas Systems is a HVAC systems/controls
simulator, which may be directly coupled with the building simulator. It
performs automatic airflow and plant sizing and total energy demand. The
third module, Tas Ambiens, is a robust and simple to use 2D CFD package
which produces a cross section of micro climate variation in a space.
Tas is a complete solution for the thermal simulation of new or existing
buildings, allowing design professionals to compare alternative heating/
cooling strategies and fa蓷de design for comfort, equipment sizing and
energy demand.
Tas allows you to quickly and simply create 3D models that realistically
represent the physical world, predict the natural flow of air and
sunshine through the structure and see the buildings dynamic response.
It puts the simulation of the true effectiveness of systems, such as
displacement ventilation or chilled ceilings, at your fingertips. Tas
Building Designer moves you on from those simplified procedures that
significantly overestimate and fail to identify the many proven design
benefits that are being incorporated into todays architecture.
With its CAD-linked 3D model builder, quality databases and automated
procedures that put your design performance directly into Excel, Tas
can deliver simulation quality analysis on the PC you have on your desk
right now for less effort than you put into steady state calculations.
